The Knowledge Trust

Introduction

This was a 30-hour summer project I completed, which involved designing a WordPress site for The Knowledge Trust and moving content from an out-dated website to this new WordPress. I approached this with a user-centered design perspective, and discuss the highlights of that below.

Summary

When making decisions about this project, I kept two groups in mind: the university officials who asked me to build the site and our anticipated end-user groups (which included both UNC-affiliated people and non-UNC affiliated information professionals). This resulted in heavily-branding the site and making other design decisions that made the website similar to existing websites associated with the School of Information and Library Science at UNC Chapel Hill

Personas

Personas were produced using Canva. Pictures of people were simply chosen as they were free stock images available on canva.
